Project Summary: Immigration Facility Client Roster Dashboard
Project Owner: Frank Galindo
Project Lifecycle: 2023–2024
Status: In active use
Project Overview
Built a standardized, room-by-room client roster dashboard to support daily facility operations at an immigration shelter site. The dashboard consolidates key resident data in one view, including room assignment, household composition, DOB and age, and CARES/Case numbers, with a dedicated remarks field for operational flags.
The goal was to reduce manual lookups, improve shift handoffs, and make exceptions and data gaps immediately visible.
What the dashboard tracks
- Room-first organization with support for clients spanning multiple rooms (grouped by the lowest room number).
- Client and household details (adult and child/children indicators).
- Identity basics (DOB, age, sex when provided).
- CARES/Case # coverage for quick verification and follow-up.
- Exception notes and alerts in Remarks, including items such as:
- Missing or incomplete family composition information
- Missing CARES/Case numbers
- No-answer follow-ups
- Medical or support flags recorded by the team
Operational impact
- Created a single source of reference for front desk and case management coordination.
- Made data quality issues easier to identify and route for correction.
- Improved speed and consistency of daily room and resident verification.
